Teams meet at Gatwick Airport Hotel for overnight stay.




Depart London for Orlando, Florida.
Arrive at Wakulla Beach Resort Hotel.




Morning:
Visit to the Apollo/Saturn V complex at Kennedy Space Centre for private multi-screen presentations of the historic Apollo 8 and Apollo 11 manned space programmes. The Lunar theatre depicts the first moon landing and there is a replica of the 1960s mission control room. From the presentations into the exhibition hall where there is a 363 foot moon rocket and lunar lander for students to examine at close quarters.

The room is the launch control room that has been relocated.

Lunch at Saturn V complex.

Afternoon:
Hands-on space activities with the Kennedy Space Education Department in the Exploration Station - difficult science made easy! A chance to build and fire hand-made rockets and to see rocket science come alive in the classroom.

Evening: Pizza and Pool Party at the hotel with Joe Delai, rocket engineer




A day's visit to Sea World to explore behind the scenes activities on the 'Save Our Seas' marine environmental programme. NASA recruited a marine biologist from Sea World as an astronaut.

Lunch at Sea World.

At the end of the visit there is time to tackle the theme park rides at the venue!

Evening:
Visit to an American diner en route back to the hotel.




Morning:
A visit to the Kennedy Space Centre rocket garden to see the huge range of exhibits, including the massive Saturn 1B rocket. From the outside into the early space exploration centre and 3-D Space IMAX cinemas (either '3D Space Station' narrated by Tom Cruise or 'Magnificent Desolation' narrated by Tom Hanks).

Afternoon:
Kennedy Space Centre visit to see the historic launch pads and early bunkers, close up viewing area, rocket landing strip - the longest landing strip in the world, VAB and Space Station Processing Facility full of hardware ready to go into space, Cape Canaveral including the historic launch site and launch complex, Apollo 1 launch Pad and close-up views of unmanned launch sites and rockets.

Evening:
Florida Grill Restaurant.




Morning:
Visit to the Wildlife Refuge, part of the Kennedy Space Centre, to carry out a lagoon survey with the Wildlife Rangers. Animals to be seen in the wild include alligators, armadillos, turtles, terrapins, bob cats, wild pigs, pelicans, herons and ibis.

Picnic Lunch.

Afternoon:
A chance for some shopping American style early afternoon.

Evening:
Chinese Buffet at the New Century Restaurant.

A visit to the BCC Planetarium and Observatory for a laser star walk (close viewing of the sky that night in the planetarium), a chance to see the "Amazing Universe" laser show and Solar Max IMAX movie. Students will make planespheres and then have the opportunity to view the night sky, moon and stars through a range of telescopes. They can usually view constellations and planets such as Saturn and Jupiter.




Morning:
Astronaut Training Experience at the Astronaut Hall of Fame, to include the multi-axis trainer, lunar walking trainer, neutral weight training wall and hands on activities. Students will work on a simulated mission launch including in-flight programming in a capsule and mission control room.

Lunch at the Hall of Fame.

Evening:
BBQ and Pool party.




Travel to Houston.

Arrive at the Hilton Hotel on Cedar Lake.

Evening: Dinner at the Moon Water Grill and the chance to meet an Astronaut.




Morning:
A behind the scenes visit to the Johnson Space Centre, including the Historic Mission Control where the Moon landings were monitored, the International Space Centre Mission Control, the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory where astronauts train underwater for space walking, Building 9 astronaut training facility with life-size training modules including the International Space Station and space shuttles.

Lunch at the Johnson Space Centre.

Afternoon:
Chris Stott CEO ManSat will give a presentation on 'Satellites and the future of increased global partnership through advanced technology'.

A visit to the Cowboy Shop to meet a Houston rodeo champion.

Evening:
Dinner at Joe's Crab Shack




Morning:
A visit to Rice University which will include a solar system presentation and nanotechnology activities with the University's Nobel prize winning team.

Lunch in Fellows' Hall at the University.

Afternoon:
The Challenger Advanced Mission experience at Houston's Natural Science Museum - students are involved with hands-on tasks in the state of the art Challenger Centre.

Evening:
Dinner with George Abbey, former Director of the Johnson Space Centre, at the Villa Capri Italian.




Morning:
Visit to the Space Centre Houston to see the Lunar Vaults, Sky Lab Trainers and IMAX cinema presentations with JSC rocket scientists taking the students through each experience.

Afternoon:
Students undertake astronaut exercises and in-water training in the Williams Pool close to the Johnson Space Centre.

Evening:
Dinner with astronauts and rocket scientists.




Depart Houston.




Arrive Gatwick.
